Head across the Golden Gate Bridge, going north on Hwy 101. Travel approx.
94 miles/1hr. 40min. to Cloverdale. Take the last Cloverdale exit, which
will read Hwy 128 West I Fort Bragg, Mendocino. (Hwy 128 turns into Hwy 1
when you see the ocean) From Cloverdale to Mendocino it's approx.
68 miles / 1hr. 45min. on a very curvy Hwy. You will reach the town
of Booneville about halfway along, then the beautiful Redwoods -
(along this stretch are several good wineries to visit). As you reach Mendocino,
and cross the "Big River Bridge", you'll take the first entrance into the Village
marked "Main Street". From the Golden Gate Bridge to Mendocino it's approx. 162 miles / 3hr. 20min.
Alternative scenic routes: After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, passing
Sausalito and just past Marin City is an exit to Stinson Beach / Hwy 1 (Shoreline Hwy.)
From Hwy 101 / Hwy 1 to Mendocino, it's approx 145 miles / 2hr .40min.
